President Shavkat Mirziyoyev signed a decree on awarding a group of Azerbaijani citizens with state awards on the occasion of the 31st Anniversary of Uzbekistan’s Independence.

The vocalist of Azerbaijan State Song Theatre named after Reshid Behbudov, Mammadova Gulyanak Zakir qizi, was awarded the honorary title of “People’s Artist of the Republic of Uzbekistan” for a great contribution to strengthening friendship and development of strategic partnership, comprehensive and mutually beneficial cooperation between Uzbekistan and Azerbaijan, in particular, filling scientific, cultural and humanitarian interaction with practical content and new initiatives, deepening and enhancing the centuries-old ties between the fraternal peoples of the two countries.

The Order “Dustlik” (Friendship) was awarded to:

Mustafayev Shahin Majid oglu – Head of Department of the Institute of Oriental Studies named after Academician Z.M. Bunyadov of the National Academy of Sciences of Azerbaijan, Academician

Askarov Ramiz Bakhshali oglu – Head of Department of Turkic Studies of Baku State University, Professor

Binnatova Almas Kasim qizi – Head of Department of Azerbaijan-Turkmenistan-Uzbekistan Literary Relations of the Institute of Literature named after Nizami of the National Academy of Sciences of Azerbaijan.
