At the invitation of the Amir of Qatar, Sheikh Tamim bin Hamad Al Thani, the President of the Republic of Uzbekistan Shavkat Mirziyoyev arrived in Doha on a state visit.

A guard of honor was lined up at the Hamad International Airport in honor of the distinguished guest.

The Prime Minister and Minister of Foreign Affairs of Qatar, Sheikh Mohammed bin Abdulrahman Al Thani, and other officials met the President of Uzbekistan.

In accordance with the program of the state visit, high-level meetings will be held tomorrow, during which the leaders of the two countries will discuss issues of further deepening relations and developing multifaceted cooperation between Uzbekistan and Qatar, primarily in the political, trade-economic, investment and cultural-humanitarian spheres.

The President of Uzbekistan is also expected to meet with business people in Qatar.
