On September 29, the President of the Republic of Uzbekistan Shavkat Mirziyoyev met with the Federal President of Germany Frank‑Walter Steinmeier.

Current issues of developing multifaceted relations between Uzbekistan and Germany were discussed, primarily in innovation and technology, green economy, alternative energy, transport and logistics, education, and culture.

The importance of continuing joint efforts to implement the agreements of productive talks held during the high-level visit to Germany in May this year was emphasized.

The presidents also exchanged views on the regional agenda, noting the importance of establishing practical interaction in the “Central Asia – Germany” format.
