11:13 / 2025-11-17

At the invitation of the President of the Republic of Uzbekistan Shavkat Mirziyoyev, President of Turkmenistan Serdar Berdimuhamedov is in the country on a state visit.

On 17 November, the distinguished guest, accompanied by the Prime Minister of the Republic of Uzbekistan Abdulla Aripov, visited the New Uzbekistan Park and laid flowers at the Independence Monument.

During the tour of the complex, the Leader of Turkmenistan was presented with information on the ensemble’s concept and architectural solutions.

The New Uzbekistan Park and the Independence Monument were built to mark the 30th anniversary of the country’s independence. The history of national statehood on the territory of our Homeland spans more than three thousand years – such are its deep roots. A close look at the monument reveals an artistic reflection of this majestic history.

It has become a good tradition to lay flowers at the monument during visits by distinguished guests and official foreign delegations to Uzbekistan.

The guests paid particular attention to the images of our scholars, great commanders and warriors, as well as Jadid enlighteners represented in the complex. The Independence Monument, erected in honor of our Homeland and the courageous, peace-loving, hardworking, and heroic Uzbek people, made a deep impression on the President of Turkmenistan and the delegation.
