The President of the Republic of Paraguay Santiago Peña arrived in Uzbekistan on December 11 for an official visit.

At Tashkent-Humo International Airport, the distinguished guest was welcomed by Deputy Prime Minister of the Republic of Uzbekistan Jamshid Kuchkarov and other officials.

High-level talks will be held in Tashkent, during which the prospects for developing cooperation between Uzbekistan and Paraguay in the political, trade-economic, and cultural-humanitarian spheres will be discussed.

Particular attention will be paid to establishing practical cooperation in agriculture, the food and chemical industries, digitalization, tourism, and sports.

The leader of Paraguay will also take part in the General Assembly of the International Automobile Federation and in the awards ceremony for the champions of competitions held under the Federation’s auspices.
