On June 13, the President of the Republic of Korea Yoon Suk Yeol and his spouse arrived in Uzbekistan on a state visit at the invitation of the President of the Republic of Uzbekistan Shavkat Mirziyoyev.

The Prime Minister of Uzbekistan Abdulla Aripov and other officials met the distinguished guest at Tashkent International Airport.

The two countries’ national flags were raised in honor of the distinguished guest, and a guard of honor was lined up.

The main events of the visit will take place tomorrow, June 14.

During the high-level talks, current issues of further deepening the friendship and special strategic partnership between Uzbekistan and Korea will be discussed.

Following the summit, it is planned to sign several intergovernmental and interdepartmental documents.

It is planned that the Presidents of the two countries will participate in a joint business forum.

According to the program, the Leader of South Korea will also visit Samarkand to learn about Uzbekistan’s rich cultural and historical heritage.
