The President of the Iranian Mathematical Society, professor of the Ferdowsi University of Mashhad, Mohammad Sal Moslehian, visited Samarkand State University.

At a meeting with professors, researchers and students of the Mathematics Faculty, the professor from Iran spoke about the scientific research carried out in world science, in particular in the mathematical analysis, and the work carried out in Iran.

“I am visiting the ancient city of Samarkand, known throughout the world for its beautiful history, for the first time”, says the professor. – The ancient higher education institution of the ancient city – Samarkand State University made a great impression on me. For 35 years I have been teaching students, conducting scientific research in mathematical analysis. I am glad to see the Samarkand students’ interest in natural sciences and mathematics.

The professor noted that during his career he participated in the editorial process as the editor-in-chief of several scientific journals. According to the scientific articles of Uzbekistan's scientists and researchers admitted to these journals, he was convinced that the research results presented by them are of high scientific value. He also expressed confidence that friendly relations between Samarkand State University and the Ferdowsi University of Mashhad will strengthen.

The professor from Iran gave recommendations to students who want to conduct scientific research, study for a master’s degree and doctoral studies abroad.
