At the invitation of the President of the Republic of Uzbekistan Shavkat Mirziyoyev, the President of the Republic of Serbia Aleksandar Vučić is in Uzbekistan on an official visit.
Today, accompanied by the Deputy Prime Minister of the Republic of Uzbekistan Achilbay Ramatov, the distinguished guest visited the New Uzbekistan Park and laid flowers at the Monument of Independence.

During the introduction to the complex, the Serbian delegation was informed about the concept and architectural solutions of this ensemble.

The New Uzbekistan Park and the Monument of Independence were constructed to mark the 30th anniversary of the country’s independence. The history of national statehood on the territory of our Motherland spans more than three thousand years, reflecting its deep roots. By closely observing the monument, one can see an artistic representation of this majestic history.

It has become a good tradition to lay flowers at the monument during visits of distinguished guests and official foreign delegations to Uzbekistan.

Members of the delegation paid special attention to the representations within the complex of scholars, great commanders and warriors, as well as Jadid enlighteners. It was noted that the Humo bird, symbolizing peace, freedom, and goodness, gracefully crowns this magnificent monument.
