A telephone conversation took place between the President of Uzbekistan Shavkat Mirziyoyev and the President of the Islamic Republic of Iran Ebrahim Raisi.

The President of Iran sincerely congratulated the Leader of Uzbekistan on his convincing victory in the Early Presidential Election in Uzbekistan that took place the day before.

The President of Iran also conveyed congratulations and greetings from the Supreme Spiritual Leader of Iran Ayatollah Sayyid Ali Khamenei.

Issues of practical implementation of the agreements reached at the highest level following the results of an official visit to Iran in June this year were considered.

It was noted with satisfaction that the parties had begun the practical implementation of industrial cooperation projects in accordance with the adopted Action Plan.

The importance of continuing intensive contacts, including at the level of business circles and administrations of the two countries’ regions, was emphasized.

Views were exchanged on issues of the regional agenda, including cooperation within the framework of the Shanghai Cooperation Organization and the Economic Cooperation Organization.
