At 1,112 polling stations in Samarkand, active preparations are underway for holding early elections for the President of the Republic of Uzbekistan.
Members of precinct election commissions are delivering invitations to voters. Lists of voters have been compiled and posted at the polling stations for review.
According to the Election Code of the Republic of Uzbekistan, the list of voters includes the names of citizens who have reached eighteen years of age by the day or on the day of elections, permanently or temporarily residing at the time of compiling the list in the territory of this polling station.
Each voter can be included in only one list of voters.
Voter lists are compiled based on the data from the information system for forming the Unified Electronic Voter List.
Citizens are provided with the opportunity to get acquainted with the data concerning them in the list of voters at the premises of the precinct election commission, as well as through the official website of the Central Election Commission.
Lists of voters are submitted for public review fifteen days before the elections and in polling stations formed at diplomatic and other representations of the Republic of Uzbekistan in foreign states, in sanatoriums, in hospitals and other inpatient medical institutions, in remote and hard-to-reach areas, in places of detention and deprivation of liberty – three days before the elections.
