Tashkent’s Cinema Palace hosted the premiere of a documentary film dedicated to the memory of the founder of the Uzbek Boxing School Sidney Jackson.
According to the National Olympic Committee, the “The Sidney Jackson Phenomenon” was filmed by the Shaykhantakhur Film Company in cooperation with the Ministry of Tourism and Sports based on copyright provided by Orient Finance Bank and Golden House. The scriptwriter and producer of the documentary is Boris Babayev, and the Director – Navruz Biynazov.
In the film, the daughter of Sidney Jackson, born in the United States, Paina, living in Tashkent, told about many important pages of the life and work of the legendary coach in Uzbekistan. The film also featured Deputy Prime Minister – Minister of Tourism and Sports Aziz Abdukhakimov, Adviser to the Chairman of the Boxing Federation Malik Boboyev, Head Coach of the national team Marat Kurbanov, apprentices of Sidney Jackson – boxing legend Rufat Riskiyev and others.
