A roundtable discussion on “The Law of the Republic of Uzbekistan on international treaties: practice and prospects for improvement” was held at the University of World Economy and Diplomacy (UWED).

The conference was attended by the Chairman of the Committee on International Affairs and Inter-Parliamentary Relations of the Legislative Chamber of the Oliy Majlis Dilorom Fayziyeva, Head of the Treaty and Law Department of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs Komil Rashidov, professors, teachers and students of the university.

Issues of examination of international treaties of Uzbekistan, theoretical and practical aspects of comparative legal analysis in the development of such documents, the practice of monitoring domestic and international experience in their implementation, the development of international treaties in the investment sphere were discussed at the event.

The specifics and differences of the draft model agreements, special approaches to the preparation of international agreements in the field of investment and trade were noted. The parties exchanged views on improving legislation in the field of international treaties.

Following the event, the participants discussed the practice of law enforcement in the development of international treaties.
