Surkhandarya region, Uzbekistan, has always attracted attention with its unique nature and mystery. Lovers of history and the beauty of their native land have been studying this region for many years, revealing its secrets. One is the ancient plane tree located in Sayrob village in Baysun district.

The plane tree appeared on this land almost 950 years ago. Its height is 26 meters, its circumference is 16.5 meters, and the size of the hollow in the shape of a regular quadrangle is 3.5 meters.

History testifies that before the October Revolution, a school and, since 1920, the village council were located inside this plane tree. From 1932 to 1934, the camp library of the 1st Cavalry Regiment worked here and, since 1936, a village store. Today, the plane tree is protected as a natural monument, and an amazing museum is organized inside it.
