The “Regions of Russia” magazine published an article “Shavkat Mirziyoyev – seven years on the path to Uzbekistan’s openness”.

In the publication, it is noted that from the very first days of his power, Shavkat Miromonovich intensified his foreign policy, thanks to which the authority of Uzbekistan in the international arena has sharply increased. Today the country has diplomatic relations with all Arab countries except Israel. In 2021 alone, the trade turnover of Uzbekistan with the countries of the Arab world amounted to $1.8 billion. Exports of goods to the Arab countries increased by 25 percent and reached $1.2 billion, while imports decreased by 3 percent. The country exports gold, cotton, fruits and vegetables, textiles, chemical products, and metals. Shavkat Mirziyoyev, after almost 30 years of negotiations, managed to fully resolve the issue of borders with Kyrgyzstan and eliminate existing misunderstandings.

According to the article, the results of the work of the President include the implementation of various infrastructure projects aimed at developing the transport network, energy, water supply, housing construction, and other areas. Many roads within the country were built, and airports, power grids, and hydroelectric power plants were modernized. In various regions of Uzbekistan, active construction and modernization of water supply and sewerage systems, residential buildings, schools, hospitals, sports, and other social facilities are underway.

“Regions of Russia” also writes that under the leadership of President Shavkat Mirziyoyev, Uzbekistan has flourished, acquiring a modern infrastructure and many allies and partners worldwide. Of course, there is still much work, but the contribution of the country’s Leader to its development is already obvious.
