Commissioner of the Oliy Majlis of the Republic of Uzbekistan for Human Rights (Ombudsman) Feruza Eshmatova met with a delegation led by the Chairperson of the Committee on Equality of Opportunity for Women and Men of the Grand National Assembly of Turkey Fatma Aksal.

The guest gave a positive assessment of the work carried out in Uzbekistan to ensure gender equality, create equal opportunities for women and men. She also focused on the ongoing work in Turkey to ensure gender equality and prevent cases of violence against women.

Mrs. Feruza Eshmatova spoke about the reforms carried out in Uzbekistan to ensure human rights and freedoms, as well as the main directions of the Development Strategy that determine the path of Uzbekistan for the next five years, where the main focus is on the exaltation of human dignity.

Following the meeting, which was held in a businesslike and constructive atmosphere, the parties discussed issues of further developing collaboration.
