The number of world-class chess players increases in Uzbekistan
A member of the Uzbekistan women’s national chess team, Madinabonu Khalilova, who consistently achieves high results at international tournaments, has successfully met the regulatory requirements to obtain the title of international master.
“To date, 15 women chess players have the title of international master, and 7 have the title of international grandmaster”, said Bakhtiyor Jumayev, a leading specialist at the Uzbekistan Chess Federation.

Recently, Uzbekistan’s Umida Omonova fulfilled all the requirements for obtaining the title of international grandmaster. The Uzbekistan Chess Federation has submitted relevant documents to FIDE.
