The villages of Kumushkon and Chashma in Parkent district received the status of “Tourist Village”.
The event organized on this occasion was attended by the Chairman of the Tourism Committee Umid Shodiyev, Hokim of Parkent district Sardor Isakulov, officials of the villages of Kumushkon and Chashma, district activists, and journalists.
The villages of Kumushkon and Chashma attract tourists all year round with their unique nature, clean air, cultural heritage sites, and shrines. Last year, about 50,000 foreign and 900,000 domestic tourists visited Parkent district.
Several large-scale activities have been carried out in these areas to improve and develop the tourism industry.

In particular, a special working group consisting of representatives of the administration of Tashkent region and the Tourism Committee studied the territory of the village of Kumushkon. The group carried out door-to-door visits and made recommendations on organizing tourist services. Negotiations were held with ten investors on the creation of tourist facilities.

Thus, every year in September, the international festivals “Uzum Sayli” and “Suqoq Taomlari” are held on the territory of “Zarkent” mahalla. In April-May, the “Somsa Sayli” events are held.
The “Tourist Village” project further increases the flow of local and foreign tourists to Tashkent region.
