According to the Chief Inspector of the Customs Committee Information Service Khusan Tangriyev, today the number of participants in foreign economic activity in Uzbekistan has exceeded 24.6 thousand people. Their total foreign trade turnover is about $30 billion.

So far, only 48 participants in foreign economic activity have received the status of an authorized economic operator.

The share of authorized economic operators in the total volume of foreign trade turnover currently stands at $1.1 billion or 3.8 percent.

The main part of the enterprises is included in the register of authorized economic operators, that is, 36 of them operate in the city of Tashkent, 4 in Tashkent region.

Authorized economic operators acting based on certificates of the second type are entitled to release goods for free circulation with an installment payment of customs payments or a delay of up to twenty working days without security for the payment of customs payments.

Preparations are underway for signing mutual memorandums with several countries on the introduction of special simplifications and benefits for authorized economic operators on the territory of foreign states, and for authorized economic operators of foreign states – on the territory of Uzbekistan.
