The State Statistics Committee has published information on the number of enterprises operating in Uzbekistan by region.

According to the State Statistics Committee, as of July 1, the total number of enterprises operating in the country amounted to 561 thousand 386, an increase of 8.9 percent compared to the corresponding period last year.

The five regions with a large number of operating enterprises included the city of Tashkent (111683), Tashkent (52728), Samarkand (51035), Fergana (49303) and Andijan (43132) regions.
