On January 12, the Minister of Foreign Affairs Bakhtiyor Saidov received copies of the credentials of Guido De Sanctis, the newly appointed Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the Italian Republic to the Republic of Uzbekistan.

According to the Uzbekistan MFA, at the meeting, the current state and prospects of bilateral cooperation were discussed, with particular attention paid to expanding trade, investment, and economic ties. The importance of further developing practical cooperation and encouraging contacts between business communities was emphasized.

Mr. Saidov wished the Ambassador success in his diplomatic activities in the country.
