The new partnership – for the benefit of Uzbekistan students studying in the UK
17:27 / 2024-06-21

London hosted a momentous ceremony – a Memorandum of Understanding was signed between the Embassy of Uzbekistan and Uzbekistan’s Students Union in the UK (UZSU).

Its signing marked a new stage in supporting and assisting Uzbekistan students studying in the UK.

The document aims to enhance cooperation between the diplomatic mission and student association, which will allow for more effective resolution of current issues and development of student cultural, educational, and scientific initiatives.

The Ambassador of Uzbekistan to the UK, Ravshan Usmanov, highlighted that this agreement paves the way for new horizons in the personal and professional growth of Uzbekistan students. The UZSU President, Jasurbek Jabborov, expressed optimism that collaborative projects will greatly enhance the educational and social environment for students.

Uzbekistan’s Students Union in the UK was established in March 2024 and currently unites more than 300 students studying at universities in the UK through the El-Yurt Umidi Foundation and private channels.
