The new edition is dedicated to the collection of the Kokand State Museum-Reserve

Buyuk Allomalari Museum in Kokand hosted the presentation of the book album of the World Society for the Study, Preservation and Popularization of the Cultural Heritage of Uzbekistan “Collection of the State Museum-Reserve “Kokand”.

The illustrated edition presents the best examples of the art of one of the oldest cultural institutions of Fergana Valley. Sections of the book-album tell about the monuments of the fund of archeology, samples of numismatics, handwritten and documentary fund. The art of wood carving, wood painting, embossing and jewelry, ceramics and art textiles were also presented in the selected samples. A separate section is devoted to the collection of fine art.

The book-album was presented by the scientific coordinator of the project “Cultural heritage of Uzbekistan in the collections of the world” Elmira Gul and curator of the album “Collection of the State Museum-Reserve “Kokand” Shakhlo Abdullayeva.

The event also included an exhibition of 50 book-albums of the series “Cultural Heritage of Uzbekistan in the collections of the world”.
