The nationwide hashar begins in Uzbekistan
12:43 / 2024-08-24

Today, starting early in the morning, the nationwide hashar began in all mahallas of Uzbekistan.

It should be noted that noble qualities inherent in our people, such as friendship, solidarity, kindness, and cleanliness, are especially evident on the days of such hashars.

In just a few days, we will celebrate the 33rd anniversary of Uzbekistan’s independence. The nationwide charity hashar, which started under the motto “A well-maintained mahalla is a well-maintained country”, is an important part of the preparation for the greatest and most precious holiday.

In this regard, the Association of Mahallas of Uzbekistan has defined the corresponding tasks of cleaning the streets and adjoining territories of mahallas.

According to the Association, more than 10.8 thousand hectares of area will be landscaped in two days, more than 13.2 thousand tons of garbage will be removed, and 6.3 thousand km of ditches and trays will be cleaned. With the involvement of young people, 9,948 cemeteries will be landscaped and repaired. Order will be restored around 495 places of worship and on more than 54 thousand streets. 3.1 million trees will be whitewashed and trimmed.

To provide social support to the population, the houses of 9,713 socially vulnerable families will be repaired through hashar. Various crops will be planted on the garden plots of 16,667 low-income families. Hashar participants will visit 25,764 low-income families, including 9,018 disabled people and lonely older people, who will be provided with financial assistance.

Also, during the days of the hashar, with the participation of public representatives, it is planned to commission about 200 points of public services, manufacturing enterprises, mahalla buildings, children’s sports grounds, and other social facilities.
