This year, the film festival theme – “Rethinking the City from the Lagoon” – is devoted to studying the relationship between humans and the environment, as well as anthropogenic impact on ecosystems.
On Wednesday, August 30, the film “Sunday” by Shokir Khalikov, an Uzbek filmmaker who explores the relationship between traditional and contemporary ways, was shown.

The film “Sunday” tells the true story of an elderly couple living in a peaceful, quiet village with two sons: the eldest son lives next to his elderly parents, and the youngest works abroad.
It should be noted that Mr. Khalikov’s films were recognized as the best and awarded in several international film festivals.

“Floating Cinema – Unknown Waters” is a cultural event taking place on a floating platform in the waters of the Venice Lagoon in parallel with the program of the Venice Film Festival.
The show was held with the support of the Art and Culture Development Foundation under the Cabinet of Ministers of the Republic of Uzbekistan.
