As previously reported, restrictions on freedom of movement, including vehicles, were introduced in Karakalpakstan by the Decree of the President of Uzbekistan “On the introduction of a state of emergency on the territory of the Republic of Karakalpakstan” of July 2 this year.

Verification of documents proving the identity of individuals, personal inspection, inspection of their belongings, vehicles have been established.

At the briefing held at the Agency for Information and Mass Communications, the head of the Press Service of the National Guard of the Republic of Uzbekistan, Davron Jumanazarov, presented information on the work carried out under the state of emergency introduced in the Republic of Karakalpakstan.

It was noted that a state of emergency was introduced in Karakalpakstan from July 3 to August 2, 2022. A curfew is introduced from 21:00 to 07:00.

The protection of public order, especially important and categorized objects and objects that ensure the vital activity of the population have been strengthened.

Entry and exit from Karakalpakstan are restricted, and any strikes aimed at suspending or terminating the activities of legal entities are prohibited. A ban has been introduced on the organization and holding of peaceful assemblies, entertainment, sports and other mass events.

The sale of weapons, ammunition, explosives, special means is prohibited. A procedure has been introduced for the temporary seizure of weapons and ammunition from individuals.

A special regime has been established for the circulation of medicines and alcoholic products.
