This is noted in the Resolution of the President of the Republic of Uzbekistan “On measures for further developing the national art of Askiya and humor in the country” of July 11 this year.

The main tasks of the center are measures to develop the traditions of “master-apprentice” in the direction of performing Askiya (Uzbek verbal folk art) and humor, educating gifted youth, supporting their creative potential, creating courses of the art of Askiya and humor in cultural and educational institutions.

The center will also conduct scientific research to preserve and popularize the art of Askiya and humor as Uzbek verbal folk art and support the creative and scientific activities of creative workers, folklore scholars, teachers, and specialists in this sphere.

In addition, comprehensive assistance will be provided to creative workers involved in the art of Askiya and humor, ensuring their active participation in mass holidays and cultural events, touring activities in the country and foreign countries, and organizing festivals, competitions, creative evenings, and performances.
