President Shavkat Mirziyoyev chairs a videoconference to accelerate the development of the country’s tourism potential. The responsible officials were instructed to reduce the deficit in the field of railway and motor transport. In particular:

– by June 1, it is necessary to complete the tender for the purchase of 34 modern electric trains, and deliver at least 8 of them by the end of the year;

– from April 1, tour operators, hotels and carriers are provided with customs privileges for the import of vehicles with 10 or more seats manufactured over the last 5 years;

– in 2023, $30 million of credit resources are offered to tourist organizations for the purchase of these buses;

– from April 10, in compliance with security measures, the movement of tourist minibusses (up to 15 people) through the Qamchiq pass, tourist buses and minibusses through the pass in Jizzakh, Charvak and Chimgan is allowed.
