A member of the Uzbekistan national weightlifting team, champion of Asia and the world, winner of the XXXI summer Olympic Games, holder of the ranks of honour “Merited sportsman of the Republic of Uzbekistan” and “Ozbekiston iftihori”, Ruslan Nurudinov, voted for the candidate of his choice at polling station No 23 in Uchtepa district of the capital city.

R.Nurudinov says: “Voting in elections is an important duty of every citizen who is not indifferent to the Motherland’s today and future. In the years of independence, First President Islam Karimov gave special attention to the development of sports in our country and to the bringing up of the younger generation to be healthy and well in every respect. Today there are wide possibilities in all the regions of our country for young people to engage in physical training and sports and to display their potential and talent. And sportsmen of Uzbekistan are achieving high results in the most prestigious sports competitions.
