At this event conducted in accordance with a resolution dated 31 May 2012 of the country's First President "On additional measures to improve the system of privileges for people who have completed their fixed-term military service in the Armed Forces of the Republic of Uzbekistan", it was said that in this country special attention is paid to bringing up physically healthy and morally mature young people and to raising their interest in the honourable and responsible profession of Motherland defenders.

Soldiers' combat and spiritual moral preparedness and the level of their knowledge about specific subjects were tested with the participation of specialists off the state center for testing under the Cabinet of Ministers of the Republic of Uzbekistan. These soldiers are serving in an exemplary manner at military units and establishments of the North-western military District.

Soldiers who have scored a large number of points in the tests, who achieved high results during their fixed-term military service and who set an example for others to follow will be given recommendations from the command of the military units. These recommendations make it possible for them to secure admission to higher education institutions on a privilege basis.

"In the tests along with the knowledge and ability acquired in the ranks of the army the knowledge gained at the Tashkent vocational college of commerce and entrepreneurship was also helpful. We are grateful to the state for the possibilities and conditions that have been created for us young people," says Private D.Alijonov.
