UNICEF, to improve early childhood development throughout the country, handed over 8100 methodological manuals on the organization of medical care in preschool education institutions to the Ministry of Preschool Education of the Republic of Uzbekistan.

The methodological guidance was developed jointly with UNICEF to improve the knowledge and skills of the medical staff of preschool education institutions to ensure a safe and healthy environment for children.

“Daily care by preschool institution staff about the health, physical and mental well-being of the child is necessary to effectively solve the problems of the education program”, said the Minister of Preschool Education of the Republic of Uzbekistan Agrippina Shin. – UNICEF supported the development of an online training program by the Ministry of Preschool Education as a next step to building the capacity of preschool health workers. It will serve to improve the skills of over 8,000 nurses in a short period.
