The Minister of Foreign Affairs of Uzbekistan Bakhtiyor Saidov spoke with the Minister for Foreign Affairs of Sweden Tobias Billström.

According to Uzbekistan MFA, the current state and prospects for developing cooperation between Uzbekistan and Sweden were discussed during the telephone conversation.

The ministers stressed with satisfaction the high level of dynamics in the development of bilateral relations, the intensification of contacts at various levels, and the growth of mutual trade. In this context, the Swedish Foreign Minister expressed gratitude for opening the Embassy of Uzbekistan in Stockholm and stressed that the diplomatic mission would be essential in enriching mutually beneficial cooperation between our countries.

The heads of the foreign ministries exchanged views on further building bilateral relations in priority sectors, actively promoting economic diplomacy and interaction within multilateral platforms and in regional development.
