The Minister of Health of Russia visited the Center for Pediatric Surgery

As part of the Uzbekistan – Russia Medical Forum, held in Samarkand on June 3-4, the Minister of Healthcare of the Russian Federation Mikhail Murashko visited the Center for Pediatric Surgery in Samarkand, where he got acquainted with the provision of high-quality, modern medical services.

“The work carried out in Uzbekistan in healthcare, in particular in protecting the health of children, arouses our admiration”, Mr. Murashko says. – This can be seen in the conditions created at the Center for Pediatric Surgery and the Regional Multidisciplinary Children’s Clinical Hospital of Samarkand region. Here, doctors are highly professional. Modern medical equipment is used. Russian doctors are always ready for cooperation and exchange of experience with Samarkand medical workers.

The Chief Pediatric Surgeon of the Russian Federation, Dmitry Morozov, conducted a medical examination of patients being treated at the Center, talked with colleagues from Samarkand and gave the necessary advice and recommendations. He proposed cooperation in pediatric surgery, and an agreement was reached.

Within the framework of the two-day forum, 172 memorandums and several agreements were signed on the development of joint educational programs, the creation of branches of Russian medical education institutions in Uzbekistan, the attraction of investments in the healthcare sector, and the introduction of new forms of partnership. The parties also adopted a Resolution on deepening and developing cooperation.

The implementation of joint projects on digitalization of the medical field, the implementation of training, retraining, and advanced training programs, the organization of joint scientific and practical conferences, master classes, scientific research, as well as further development of cooperation in neurosurgery, pediatrics, surgery, cardiology, and oncology were discussed.
