A delegation led by the Minister of Culture and Tourism of the People’s Republic of China Hu Heping visits Uzbekistan as part of the Chinese Culture Days.
Accompanied by the Minister of Culture of Uzbekistan Ozodbek Nazarbekov, the guests visited Samarkand. They were met at the international airport by officials from the Regional Hokimiyat.



Members of the delegation, accompanied by the Minister of Ecology, Environmental Protection and Climate Change Aziz Abdukhakimov, began their acquaintance with Samarkand by visiting the Mirzo Ulugbek Museum Complex. The guests studied the artifacts in the Afrasiab Museum. The Mausoleum of Amir Temur and Registan Square made a considerable impression.



At the “Silk Road” International University of Tourism and Cultural Heritage, the Chinese Minister got acquainted with the conditions created and talked with young people from China studying at the University. Together with the Secretary-General of the United Nations World Tourism Organization Zurab Pololikashvili, the Minister visited the newly created International Academy of Tourism and the thematic office “Tourism on the Silk Road”.
