More than a hundred craftswomen, guided by craftswoman Nilufar Jurayeva, are embroidering a 31-meter suzani with a width of more than 5 meters for the International Folklore Festival “Baysun Spring”.

A group of Baysun embroiderers presented a suzani 25 meters long and 6 meters wide at the first festival in Termez in 2019. Also, for the International Folklore Festival “Baysun Spring 2022”, artisans of the family enterprise “Baysun Afruzbek” wove and demonstrated a unique carpet “Oq En” thirty meters long and two and a half meters wide. For this purpose, 60 kilograms of pure camel wool were used.

Admiring the suzani created by the hands of Baysun craftswomen, who for centuries have carefully preserved the unique craft of their ancestors, you feel how the incomparable Surkhan patterns lure you into the beautiful world of national art. Iridescent multi-colored silk threads and the embroidered inscription “Yangi O’zbekiston” reflect the age-old dreams of our people.
