The London Post published an interview with Uzbek architect Tahmina Turdialiyeva, who was included in the list of 100 leading women architects worldwide.
She told the news portal about the large-scale measures in Uzbekistan to improve women’s living and working conditions and ensure gender equality. During the interview, it was noted that in recent years in Uzbekistan, the priority of state policy has become ensuring the rights and interests of women, protecting family, motherhood, and childhood, developing women’s entrepreneurship, creating jobs for women, and improving their living and working conditions.
As Tahmina Turdialiyeva emphasizes, to create the most favorable conditions for women who want to study and reveal their scientific potential, the country has introduced a system of preferential financing of education in private and public universities and secondary specialized and vocational educational institutions. In addition, readers' attention is drawn to the measures taken by the Government to develop women's entrepreneurship.
It should be noted that Tahmina Turdialiyeva was included in the book “100 Women: Architects in Practice”, the presentation of which was organized by the Royal Institute of British Architects on January 23, 2024, in London. She is a graduate of Tashkent Institute of Architecture and Civil Engineering and Huazhong University of Science and Technology in China and the winner of several international architectural competitions. Her work covers projects in China and Italy, and she successfully runs her architectural studio “TT Design Lab” in Tashkent. The article also presents Tahmina Turdialieva’s works.
