37 diplomatic missions and 17 consulates of the Republic of Uzbekistan in 38 countries ensure the protection of the rights and legitimate interests of Uzbekistan citizens.

Over the past 2022, as part of the provision of consular assistance to Uzbekistan citizens abroad, 212 thousand 79 actions, 78 thousand 815 consular and legal services were provided.

In particular, citizens who remained abroad without documents were issued 23,340 biometric passports and 38,697 certificates for returning to Uzbekistan.

This has been reported at an expanded meeting of the Committee of the Legislative Chamber of the Oliy Majlis on International Affairs and Inter-Parliamentary Relations and the Senate Committee on Foreign Affairs, International Economic Relations, Investments and Tourism.

Information from the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and the Ministry of Employment and Poverty Reduction was heard on measures taken to protect the rights and legitimate interests of citizens of the Republic of Uzbekistan in foreign countries, existing problems and their solutions.
