First Deputy Chairman of the Senate of the Oliy Majlis of the Republic of Uzbekistan Sodiq Safoyev met with the Former Ambassador to the Republic of Korea and Uzbekistan, President of India-ROK Friendship Society, and Advisor to MIICCIA and New Delhi Institute of Management Skand Ranjan Tayal.
Multilateral relations, in particular cooperation in trade-economic and investment spheres, between parliaments, as well as in education, culture, and medicine, were discussed at the meeting. The participants exchanged views on the recent Presidential Election in Uzbekistan.

The international observer stressed that all conditions were created at the polling stations for the free voting of citizens, and the elections were held openly and transparently. He particularly appreciated citizens’ activity in exercising their constitutional rights.
Skand Ranjan Tayal also stressed that the consistent reforms and updates carried out in the country and their legal foundations are enshrined in the renewed Constitution.
The parties exchanged views on several other issues.
