One of the famous religious scholars of Türkiye, Muhammed Emin Yıldırım, known for his broadcasts in the month of Ramadan, in one of his last speeches, recalled his pilgrimage to the shrines of Uzbekistan and informed his subscribers about the history and scientists of Uzbekistan, blessing it in his video.
“When we think about science, certain regions come to mind”, he said. “Uzbekistan is at their head – formerly Mawarannahr, which gave thousands of scientists to the world. We have visited this land twice in recent years with God's blessing. You will not have enough life to know this land. The trace of great scientists and thinkers is left on every inch of it. You will see how many great scientists have lived and worked on this earth. Scholars from Imam Bukhari to Imam Moturidi, Khoja Ubaidullah Ahror Wali to Shahi Naqshbandi...
As the dome of knowledge of Islam, this land has given the world thousands of scientists. This land has left a special mark in history as a storehouse of knowledge. Remembering the geography of Uzbekistan, that is, Samarkand, Bukhara, Tashkent, and Khiva, we greet our brothers. One of the most revered places here is the shrine of Shahi Zinda, which in the language of the locals is called the “Living Sultan”, and the mausoleum of Kusama ibn Abbas, the son of the uncle of the Prophet (may peace and blessings of Allah be upon him).
We are praying for Uzbekistan today during Ramadan! In recent years, as is known, Uzbekistan has entered a new era. Let’s pray for the days when the country will once again become the dome of knowledge of Islam! May the Almighty raise the historical, spiritual significance of this land.
