Khiva hosted the Second Inter-Parliamentary Forum of Central Asian States.
The forum was attended by heads of parliaments and delegations from Kazakhstan, Kyrgyzstan, Tajikistan, Turkmenistan, and Uzbekistan, including representatives of youth parliaments and friendship groups, responsible heads of local government authorities, and media workers.
At the beginning of the event, the Chairperson of the Senate of the Oliy Majlis Tanzila Narbayeva read out the greeting of the President of the Republic of Uzbekistan, Shavkat Mirziyoyev, to the participants.

Mrs. Narbayeva noted that interparliamentary cooperation is crucial for effectively implementing high-level agreements reached by the leaders of Central Asian countries and further developing cooperation formats.
The Chairperson of the Senate made several proposals to enhance interparliamentary cooperation. After that, the heads of delegations addressed the event and spoke about the forum’s importance, expected results, goals, and objectives.
