The Minister of Digital Technologies Sherzod Shermatov met with the President of Mastercard’s Central Asia Office Yasemin Bedir.

The purpose of the meeting was to discuss the organization of an international digital technology center, the creation of favorable conditions for increasing the attractiveness of the digital technology market, and venture funds for the digitalization of payments.

Along with this, the issues of increasing the population’s financial literacy, the transition to cashless payments, the creation of a payment ecosystem, and support for startups were discussed. Projects successfully implemented in countries aimed at the widespread introduction of digital technologies were noted.

The parties agreed to develop an action plan for the future, to exchange experience in supporting fintech startups in Uzbekistan, accelerating the export activities of enterprises in digital technologies, and expanding their integration with international markets.
