At the panel discussions held within the framework of the First Tashkent International Investment Forum, a roundtable discussion was held on trade liberalization and economic integration.

The participants of the event exchanged views on the integration of trade in Uzbekistan. The First Deputy Chairman of the Senate of the Oliy Majlis of Uzbekistan, Deputy Advisor to the President of Uzbekistan for the Development of Economic Sectors, Implementation of Investment and Foreign Trade Policy, Deputy Minister of Investments and Foreign Trade, Deputy Director-General of the World Trade Organization, European Union Commissioner for Enlargement and Neighborhood Policy delivered speeches at the forum.

It was noted that the integration of Uzbekistan into multilateral trade agreements is a priority for the development and transformation of the country’s economy.

The participants emphasized that this initiative was included in the list of the most important tasks defined in the New Uzbekistan Development Strategy.
