The area of this miracle of nature is 4 thousand hectares. 970 hectares is occupied by forest, the rest of the territory is occupied by jida, terakjida and thickets. Various wild animals live here.

Young tourists who crossed the river on a border guard boat were fascinated by the beauty of the island’s nature. Experts told them interesting information about the history, flora and fauna of the island, which is known to the world as the island of the Prophet.

This island is known for the fact that there is a tomb of one of the twenty-five prophets mentioned in the holy Quran – Zul-Kifl.

Zul-Kifl is a historical person who lived in the 6-7 centuries BC, he was given the authority to protect his tribe from poverty, as well as fair rule.

The well-known 12th-century encyclopedic scholar from Balkh, Mahmud ibn Vali, wrote in his work “Sea of Secrets” that the island of the Prophet, on which the tomb of Zul-Kifl (alayhi s-salam) is located, became the meeting place of Hakim Termizi with Khizr.
