Termiz hosts the International Scientific and Practical Conference “The Role of the Scientific Heritage of Imam Termizi in Islamic Civilization”.

The conference began with the reciting of the Holy Quran.

The Advisor to the President, Khayriddin Sultanov, read the congratulations of the Head of state to the conference participants.

The conference was organized as part of the implementation of the Presidential Resolution “On the broad celebration of the 1200th anniversary of Imam Termizi’s birth” of August 15, 2024, in cooperation with the Committee on Religious Affairs under the Cabinet of Ministers of the Republic of Uzbekistan, the Hokimiyat of Surkhandarya region, the Muslim Board of Uzbekistan, the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, the Ministry of Higher Education, Science and Innovation, the International Scientific Research Center of Imam Termizi, the International Islamic Academy of Uzbekistan.

The two-day event is attended by religious figures from almost ten countries, scientists from prestigious educational institutions, muftis, and famous ulema.

The participants discussed the work carried out in the country to study and research the life and scientific work of great thinkers who made a worthy contribution to the development of the sacred religion of Islam, the essence and significance of their works, which have become world heritage.

An exchange of experience took place on the development of outreach work and methods aimed at conveying the scientific heritage of Imam Termizi and his followers to the general public in accordance with the requirements of the time, the widespread use of new methods, and means of propaganda.

The participants summarized the results of research devoted to the study of the worldwide religious and spiritual heritage of Imam Termizi and his followers, who made a significant contribution to the development of the Islamic religion and civilization, and outlined promising tasks for their further study.

The participants of the international conference sent an address to President Shavkat Mirziyoyev.

The Termiz Declaration was adopted at the conference.
