The International Center for Digital Technologies will be opened in Uzbekistan. A corresponding presidential decree has been adopted on this.
According to the document, the International Center for Digital Technologies is being created on the territory of the IT Park as a particular territory with favorable conditions for manufacturing products and providing services in digital technologies.
Starting June 1, the center will introduce a special legal regime for foreign companies on an experimental basis for up to 5 years.
A particular legal regime is being introduced in the following areas:
– implementation of a “regulatory sandbox” for the production and testing of innovations, services, and business products in digital technologies;
– customs and taxation;
– labor relations;
– financial and banking activities;
– processing and protection of personal data;
– provision of public services;
– protection of intellectual property;
– consideration of commercial and civil disputes.
