According to the Presidential resolution “On measures to hold the International Biennale of Contemporary Art at a high level” of August 21 this year, within the framework of the first Bukhara Biennale, 14 cultural heritage sites will be transformed into a creative cluster encompassing exhibitions and events, education and research, creativity and production.
For the first time in the country’s history, more than 70 contemporary projects will be presented as part of this art forum, each developed in collaboration with local artisans and artists from Central Asia and other parts of the world.

In particular, it is planned that renowned creative figures and masters will create over 60 art objects, including installations, which will be used in the artistic design of biennale venues and showcased at exhibitions worldwide.
In addition, a documentary film about the Bukhara Biennale will be produced, through which the tourism potential of the country will be widely promoted.
Each visitor, by participating in the series of events, will gain additional information about the rich cultural heritage, values, and ancient cities of Uzbekistan. This will undoubtedly contribute to the growth of tourist interest in the country.
As stipulated in the resolution, the biennale will also promote the training of curators of international caliber through specialized educational programs, as well as ensure their participation in leading global art platforms on behalf of Uzbekistan.
