We are very pleased to take part in the 15th Forum of CIS Creative and Scientific Intelligentsia, which was held in the beautiful capital of Uzbekistan – Tashkent. First of all, I would like to express my gratitude to the President of the Republic of Uzbekistan Shavkat Miromonovich Mirziyoyev, for creating and supporting all the conditions for organizing this conference at a high level.
The forum, which pursued noble goals in the context of the current problems associated with the pandemic and the global economic crisis in the modern world, is very important for the CIS countries.
We have gathered to take stock of the work carried out in education, science and culture, further strengthen cultural and educational ties, and outline plans.
Admittedly, a lot of good deeds have been done since the founding of the forum. International conferences, festivals, exhibitions and fairs, various competitions and exchange of experience between the CIS countries are widely organized in Uzbekistan.
As the Minister of Culture of Uzbekistan noted, much attention is paid to the development of culture and art in the country, the preservation of cultural heritage samples, and the development of the educational sector.
Such events as “Sharq Taronalari”, the Bakhshi Art International Festival, the Maqom Art International Conference, the International Festival of Folk Music “The Great Silk Road” is gaining recognition not only in the CIS countries, but throughout the world.
The high attitude of Uzbekistan people to art and culture can be seen in the example of the Uzbekistan Culture Days in the cities of Saint Petersburg, Moscow, as well as the culture days of other countries organized in Uzbekistan.
As a responsible representative of the Interstate Fund for Humanitarian Cooperation of the Commonwealth of Independent States, I can say that the Forum of CIS Creative and Scientific Intelligentsia in Uzbekistan is organized at a high level.
The conference participants got acquainted with the experience accumulated in the country in culture and art, science and education, literature, work with youth. This conference is of particular importance in further enhancing and strengthening cultural and humanitarian cooperation between the CIS countries.
