Tashkent State Dental Institute hosted a conference on “ICT in higher medical education: simulators and robotics”. It was attended by leading specialists of HRV French Company, Turin Polytechnic University, domestic higher education institutions.

It was noted that President identified the most important tasks on comprehensive development of higher education system. The Decree “On comprehensive measures for radical improvement of healthcare system of the Republic of Uzbekistan” of December 7, 2018 focuses on creation of necessary conditions for training highly qualified specialists at the level of international standards.

Tashkent State Dental Institute has established promising cooperation with leading foreign scientific educational institutions, the latest pedagogical technologies, educational programs and teaching materials based on international educational standards are widely introduced into the education process. Highly qualified teachers and scientists from abroad are involved in scientific pedagogical activity.

Trainings in 3D-simulators are organized between medical higher education institutions within the framework of the conference.

Leading specialists of HRV, Turin Polytechnic University, Republican universities delivered reports and conducted master classes. The reports on “The role of ICT in educational system”, “Continuity of medicine and engineering: requirement of time”, “3D-simulators in dental education”, “Prospects of manufacturing robots in Uzbekistan”, “Robotics in medicine” aroused great interest among participants.

An exhibition of robotics and startup projects contest were held within the framework of the conference. The Chamber of Commerce and Industry and leading enterprises of the country are involved as experts in analysis of medical activity aimed at widespread introduction of scientific-practical developments of young specialists, principles of public-private partnership.
