The President of Uzbekistan sincerely congratulated Sheikh Salman bin Ibrahim Al Khalifa on his re-election as President of the Asian Football Confederation, noting his contribution to the popularization of this sport in Asia.

The fruitful partnership of Uzbekistan with the AFC was emphasized with particular satisfaction. Joint programs and projects are being implemented for the development of football and the wide involvement of young people in this game, and the training of highly qualified specialists.

Sheikh Salman bin Ibrahim Al Khalifa highly appreciated the large-scale work carried out in Uzbekistan to comprehensively support amateur and professional football, create a modern infrastructure and educational base. He sincerely congratulated the President on the successful holding of the Asian Youth Championships in Uzbekistan and the recent victory of the national team.

At the meeting, issues of further enhancing practical cooperation with the Asian Football Confederation, including the organization and holding of major events, including women’s and youth championships, the promotion of this sport, the introduction of best practices and the provision of methodological assistance, and training of coaches, were considered.
