Deputy Minister of Health Ulugbek Sobirov met with World Bank Country Manager for Uzbekistan Marco Mantovanelli, Senior Health Specialist at the World Bank Elvira Anadolu, and other officials.

According to the Ministry, the parties discussed cooperation prospects in medicine.

As noted, today the relationship between Uzbekistan and the World Bank is rapidly developing in various areas. In particular, several projects and programs launched in medicine cover such important areas as strengthening the material and technical base of the sphere, developing an electronic healthcare system, and improving the skills of doctors and nurses.

Priority tasks to ensure the implementation of joint projects, and raising cooperation in several areas to a new level were defined at the meeting.
