The Public Foundation for Support and Development of National Mass Media, in partnership with the University of Journalism and Mass Communications of Uzbekistan, held a workshop for students and teachers of this University on “The impact of new technologies on communications and dissemination of information”.

The speaker was George Chen, former Managing Director of Facebook for China, Mongolia, and Central Asia, an experienced journalist, and professor at the University of Hong Kong.

The participants discussed the evolution of technologies in communications over the past few decades and its impact on the presentation of content in the media and social networks. The next step in this direction is the virtual world and augmented reality.

Mr. Chen also shared with the students his rich experience in journalism. He gave some advice on career growth, emphasizing the importance of adapting to the changing media landscape and working effectively with new tools and technologies.
